 
The river is a perfect floating river for beginners and families. At 170 miles long it is the 2nd longest river in Michigan. Wide and mostly obstacle-free, the majority of the river is shallow with a sandy bottom. The river flows at an easy 2-3 miles per hour and has no white water. Fishing near the park is renown for rainbow and brown trout; with bass, walleyes, muskies, and pike in other areas of the river.
Off-road trails. Local Dulcimer and woodcarving festivals. Families with kids doing retreats.
Volleyball sand court with bleachers. Basketball hoop on concrete pad. Horseshoe and gaga pits. Tetherball. Playground with swings and slide. Canoe, kayak, tube, and stand-up paddle board rentals. Fishing pond near the pavilion. Approx 950 feet of river frontage.
